Our Accomplishments

Financial & Salary Gains: Secured a nearly 16% salary increase, improving the district’s statewide pay ranking from 34th to 27th.

Healthcare Expansion: Achieved 100% medical coverage for adjunct faculty and their families at the 0.33 FTE threshold.

Infrastructure & Governance: Rebuilt internal operations with new financial safeguards, professional policies, and a modernized website and master calendar.

Transparency: Implemented "open negotiations" and enhanced financial reporting to ensure member oversight of dues and decision-making.

Member Support: Expanded "Know Your Rights" trainings, increased retirement/benefit education, and established emergency grants for members.

Advocacy & Organizing: Revived the March in March to protect community college education, Launched the Latine/a/o Caucus and defended members against threats to academic freedom and labor rights.

Member Education: Increased member education and engagement through the Annual Benefits Conference, Ready to Retire Workshops, Union Happy Hours, and State of Our Union Addresses. 

Student Loan Forgiveness: Helped members get more than nearly 12 million dollars in federal loan forgiveness.
